Just 3 simple steps, let's get started.

Inside every Skipper pack.

We were inspired by the misting system in the produce section. For years, grocery stores have used cold and moisture to keep produce fresh. Skipper uses the principle of hydrating produce to make it last longer.

Natural ingredients and a permeable layer work together to release purified water vapor when your crisper gets too dry, and absorb excess moisture when things get too humid. This 2-way system keeps produce in the sweet spot: crisp, fresh, and ready to use.

Replace every 3 months, and you're good to go.

Questions?

Why does produce go bad so fast in my fridge?

Refrigerators keep food cold, but they don’t keep produce properly hydrated. Fresh vegetables have a high water content. They lose hydration quickly in that cold, dry refrigerated air.

Fridge Hydration restores the moisture balance that produce needs to stay crisp and fresh longer. (Can’t you just hear your broccoli say ahhhhh…?)

How do I keep lettuce fresh longer?

Lettuce stays fresh longer when it stays properly hydrated. Store lettuce and like greens in your vegetable crisper drawer with Skipper. Skipper maintains hydration, so the dry refrigerator air doesn’t quickly zap the life out of your lettuce.

What’s the best way to store leafy greens?

Store greens/lettuces in perforated bags or breathable containers inside your vegetable crisper drawer with Skipper. Leafy greens last longer when they stay hydrated. The moisture, however, needs to circulate around the produce. Tightly sealed containers trap excess water.

Why don’t paper towels, drawer liners, or other produce storage gimmicks work?

They’re temporary fixes. Paper towels, drawer liners, and similar products can absorb surface moisture, but they can’t keep produce hydrated. Once the initial moisture is gone, the dry refrigerator air will continue to dehydrate your vegetables.  Fridge Hydration works differently by maintaining a consistent hydration environment.

What should crisper drawer settings be for vegetables/greens?

Use the high humidity/vegetable setting, which reduces airflow. Even on this high setting, a crisper drawer can’t add hydration to the air. Skipper complements your crisper by maintaining the hydration environment vegetables need.
